Since the beginning of January, companies such as mBank, IKEA, Media Expert, Millennium, Kaufland, Wedel, Delikatesy Centrum and Żabka Polska have withdrawn their spots from TV Republika. In February, Oleofarm, the manufacturer of D-Vitum Fort, C-Vitum and Collaflex Duo dietary supplements, will also join this group. The company’s president told “Gazeta Wyborcza” that it “firmly and unambiguously dissociates itself from any racist or Nazi content and views.”
Another company withdraws spots from TV Republika. Sakiewicz reassures: “Advertising is extremely safe with us”
Despite the outflow of advertisers and the reduction in the number of broadcast spots, TV Republika announced last week that companies cooperating with the station recorded huge profits. “Both our advertisers and their customers inform us about a sudden increase in sales. Some of them even have to be ordered because there are more and more orders,” we read.
Tomasz Sakiewicz commented on these words in an interview with Wirtualne Media. The head of the station mentioned the positive response from the owner of Telezakupy Mango. He added that companies with which Republika has direct contact also recorded an increase in sales. “Our viewers are more inclined to buy products from TV ads with which they identify,” Tomasz Sakiewicz told the portal.
Tomasz Sakiewicz is also considering a situation in which companies that have withdrawn their spots from TV Republika will not cooperate with the station again. “If some don’t come back, the other will make money on them. One network has withdrawn, the other is advertising more strongly.” According to the head of the station, advertisers have nothing to fear: “Our advertising is extremely safe, we even broadcast ads with which we radically disagree.”
