The doctor warned that Monica was at risk of pneumonia. Initially, she didn’t want to hear about the fact that she should cancel the wedding. She was going to make it. However, her condition turned out to be so serious and continued to deteriorate that the doctor decided to place the woman in hospital. While on the way, she called everyone, explained what was happening and informed them that there would be no wedding. Darek, who was to become her husband that day, ran into the room a moment later and shouted from the doorway: “Didn’t you have time to get sick? This is some horror. A comedy! I wasted so much money.” The woman was stunned, although the words “in sickness and in health” had not been uttered yet, but I guess that’s not how a man should behave. Ultimately, Monika stayed in the hospital for two weeks. During all this time, her future husband called twice out of sheer obligation, but he never showed up in person. This made the woman see things clearly and decide that nothing was happening by accident. Darek is clearly not the man for her. Unlike Darek, one of the doctors showed her support and interest. He cheered her up, talked to her, comforted her.
After leaving the hospital, Darek magically appeared and immediately started asking about the new wedding date. He became concerned and eager to help.
