The brutal murder of 27-year-old Anastazja on the Greek island of Kos last year shocked not only Poland. The terrible crime committed by the 32-year-old Bangladeshi was covered in the Greek media. Now the Greek police have managed to find a backpack that belonged to the killed Polish woman. Details on this subject were first described by Dawid Burzacki, a detective working on site, in an interview with the portal. The item will soon be delivered to Poland.

Interestingly, the discovery of the backpack in this place was a huge surprise for the Greek policemen and for us. The place where he was located was searched several times by police officers, as well as by my team. I personally walked along the shore of the lake near the crime scene right after Anastazja’s body was revealed and I didn’t see the backpack there

As the detective admits, finding the backpack was a big surprise and a turning point in the investigation conducted so far. The backpack was found near the lake, near which the killer dumped the body of the murdered woman. This area has been searched several times, but only the last search brought such a significant effect.

According to Dawid Burzacki, “the case is strange because the lake was dry last June, so the backpack could not have been in the water.” – Perhaps it was hidden deep in the bushes and now, when the lake was filled with water, the backpack rose to the surface and landed on the shore – he said.

The father of the brutally murdered Polish woman did not hide his surprise at making such a shocking discovery after more than half a year of investigation. In an interview with “Fakt” he admitted that he could not believe that Greek police had not found such significant evidence earlier.

Why didn’t they find this backpack earlier? Did it come out, grow out of the ground? Or maybe someone dropped him off? If so, the question is: for what purpose?

The murder of 27-year-old Anastazja from Wrocław took place in June last year. The Polish woman worked seasonally on the island of Kos in one of the hotels with her fiancé. The woman disappeared suddenly and her body was found a week later. The body was in a bag hidden in the bushes near Lake Alikes.

On the night of June 12-13, 2023, Anastazja went out, where she met a group of people, including a 32-year-old Bangladeshi, Salahuddin S. A week later, a dead woman was found just a kilometer from his house. An autopsy showed that the 27-year-old was raped and then brutally murdered.

The man was charged with kidnapping, rape and premeditated murder. In his apartment, the police found traces of the victim’s DNA and a T-shirt stained with blood. He was arrested, but did not confess to the crimes he was accused of. He is currently imprisoned in a maximum security prison in Piraeus. As “Fakt” found out, his trial is most likely to start in June 2024. Detective Dawid Burzacki emphasized in an interview with “Goniec” that the accused’s detention was extended.
