There has never been such a cover of “Gazeta Polska” before. “Vibrator dealers enter schools”

“Gazeta Polska” is famous for its flashy covers that are terrifying with extremes. The latest issue suggests that the pornography industry is about to start making money off of Polish students following changes in the program that Barbara Nowacka is working on. Tusk and Anja Rubik were also present on the first page.

“Gazeta Polska” is a right-wing weekly whose editor-in-chief, like TV Republika, is currently Tomasz Sakiewicz. The magazine publishes, among others, Piotr Lisiewicz and former TVP star Michał Rachoń, but we can also read here texts by Law and Justice politicians, such as Joanna Lichocka and Ryszard Czarnecki (in PiS in 2014-2018).

“Gazeta Polska” with another scandalous cover. This time Rubik and Nowacka got hit

The content of “Gazeta Polska” often exceeds the limits of good taste. An example would be the attack on minorities. In 2019, the weekly added stickers with a crossed-out rainbow and the inscription “LGBT-free zone” to its paper edition, which triggered a boycott of large press distributors such as Empik, BP, Shell and Circle K. The District Court in Warsaw then ordered an end to the scandalous practices.

The covers of the magazine also attract attention. The creativity of the creators of the weekly’s first pages knows no limits. Flashy images often attack the European Union and Donald Tusk, and also suggest the current prime minister’s cooperation alternately – with Germany and with Putin. The cover of “Gazeta Polska” already features an Ikea wardrobe with the slogan “furniture from a Hitler lover”, Tusk against the background of the Union flag with the caption “what else could there be to screw up” and the Prime Minister with a fierce face and a clenched fist raised up next to the motto of the Kingdom of Prussia ” Gott mit uns”, meaning “God is with us”.

“Gazeta Polska” threatens sex education

The latest issue of “Gazeta Polska” will also go down in the inglorious history of covers. This time, the editorial team focused on demonizing sexual education in schools. On the first page of the magazine we see (of course!) Donald Tusk, who supports the “shameful” plans of the Minister of Education, Barbara Nowacka. This one also appears on the cover of the weekly. Among the photos of promiscuous women, terrified children and references to BDSM, we see the slogan “Pornogovernment, or a brothel in Polish schools” – threatening people against trying to pass on knowledge about their own bodies and intimate relationships to children and young people, which is also necessary for their safety.

The symbol of debauchery on the cover of “Gazeta Polska” is Anja Rubik, founder of the SEXEDPL Foundation, which deals with sexual education not only online. Barbara Nowacka recently met with her to discuss changes in school curricula. As you can see, the right wing does not like the plans. The desire to build awareness among young people, which can help protect them against trauma, molestation and even rape, was summarized by the right-wing magazine with the headlines: “Vibrator dealers enter schools” and “How the erotic industry makes money thanks to sexual education.”
