At Rachoń’s as in “1670”. Mocking about global warming. “In 2115 we will cook!”

TV Republika has a place for Michał Rachoń’s “#Jedziemy” program, reactivated from TVP Info. Wednesday’s episode had (nomen omen) an atmosphere straight from the TV series “1670”.

for Wednesday’s episode of “#We’re Going” on air, he invited guests to talk about energy transformation. According to the assumptions of the European Union, we should all reduce the production of pollution as much as possible and move towards green energy as quickly as possible to slow down the ongoing global warming. Ideally, the whole world would participate in this, but for obvious reasons there is probably no global force that would make this happen. The complex issue evokes many emotions, but what aroused the most was the warning that in less than a hundred years the temperature will rise – by horror – one and a half degrees Celsius.

Michał Rachoń as peasants from Adamczycha in “1670”

In the series “1670”, in one of the episodes, peasants learn that they should start taking action now so that there will be no climate catastrophe in three hundred years. For strange reasons, this argument does not particularly appeal to them, which is why they still burn wood and feed animals with plants that increase the production of gases. After all, who cares about what will happen in 300 years.

In Michał Rachoń’s case, the time margin was 2/3 closer. Global warming is progressing, and in less than a hundred years the temperature is expected to be up to one and a half degrees higher. Naturally, no one in “#We’re Going” cared about what it would actually mean for the climate (and it would mean accelerated extinction of species, including humans). More important was the contrast between 2024 and 2115 and the information that the temperature increased by only one and a half degrees. For humans, the difference is almost imperceptible, so how could it be felt for the entire planet, right? And if so, why spend money on limiting this microscopic growth?

The ruling team will apparently find money for all this madness, because energy transformation is their priority. Yes, there will be money for this, but it will come from your pocket. When you look at these numbers and try to calculate them, the subsidies will cost about PLN 100 billion a year. These are supposed to be the costs of carrying out an energy transformation, the purpose of which is what? The goal is for 2115 for the average global temperature not to increase by 1.5 or half a degree? – Rachoń asked the guest with a laugh. -We have to spend more money on this than we spend on our armaments, health care and limiting the consequences of doing this. Money well spent – summed up Michał Rachoń with amusement.

There will be no money for laptops or for reducing energy prices, but there must be money for the energy transformation BECAUSE WE WILL COOK DOWN in 2115 – he added mockingly.

By the way, we can actually cook ourselves, literally. As scientists warn, our physiology cannot keep up with the rising temperature. “By 2070, there will be many areas on Earth unsuitable for human habitation, because conditions that make survival difficult or even impossible will occur there on many days of the year – said the expert. – These are very catastrophic scenarios, but real, because For now, we are doing poorly in limiting global warming. And our physiology will not keep up with climate change. We will not have time to adapt to life in new conditions – .

But the experts are furious, what is more important is common sense and the opportunity to laugh at your opponents. Therefore, there were many jokes about Donald Tusk, who went on skiing holidays.

After all, there is no telling how long there will be snow in the Dolomites. It is now, but if it continues at this pace, how do we know that there will be snow in the Dolomites next year. You have to hurry! – Michał Rachoń pointed out with amusement.

Well, yes, because the climate catastrophe is a great reason to joke. And why this is not a great reason, you can read, for example, here:

The mockery of the need to limit global warming was supposed to be a contribution to explaining the agricultural protests currently spreading across Europe. And indeed, in the background of the jokes from 2115, there were also scenes from European streets with burning tires. However, the essence of the matter was lost in the pressure of denying the need to change our lives so that the lives of future generations would not be much worse. Because their lives won’t get any better, that’s for sure.
