Jeremy Renner broke 30 bones in the accident. “Now I’m not afraid of anything anymore”

Jeremy Renner suffered a horrific accident a year ago. A 6-ton snow plow ran over it. The actor barely escaped with his life. In the latest interview he talks about death.

At the beginning of January last year, he was hospitalized in a critical condition after . The actor did not have time to escape from the machine, which rolled over him, crushing his legs and ribs and causing extensive internal injuries. He broke over 30 bones in the accident and doctors fought for his life for a long time.

A year later, Renner appears to have returned to almost full fitness. He is undoubtedly still undergoing rehabilitation, but judging by his videos on social media, it looks as if the accident happened many years ago, not 13 months earlier.

However, this borderline experience did not leave him indifferent. The fight to get back to full fitness, the realization that he really came very close to not making it, all this had an impact on him. Jeremy Renner discussed death with James Corden on SiriusXM radio. The actor claims that at this point nothing scares him anymore:

I was never afraid of death. But now I’m not really afraid of her. In fact, twice as much. Yes. I’m definitely not afraid of her. I’m even a little excited. Honestly, this is life. We roll this stone, this body, our conversations, our emotions, these conflicts, all this shit. None of this matters at all, he said rather nihilistically.

As if in spite of this approach, the actor did not choose complete abnegation. On the contrary – he has already returned to most of the projects that were suspended by the accident. He records music – he recently released an album with a rather symbolic title: “Miłość i titanium” (in a conversation with Corden, he mentioned that about 15-20 percent of his skeleton is currently made of titanium).

I didn’t plan to come back here from death, which – by the way – was a salvation at that time. My whole life suddenly became more beautiful, more energetic. There was no time, place, space, color, nothing – he recalled, noting, however, that a moment earlier he had experienced the most terrifying moment of his life.

Renner is also asked whether he will return to his most famous role in the Marvel universe – Hawkeye. The actor recently stated that he is ready and knows that he will cope with the challenge.
