H&M, founded in 1947, is mainly associated with clothes, but the offer also includes home decorations, bedding and kitchen accessories. And although the network is very popular, it also faces major problems. Financial losses resulted in employee layoffs and the closure of showrooms in Europe.
H&M is in big trouble. Profits decline and the store closes its branches
H&M’s problems were caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which caused the chain to withdraw from selling its products in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. During the pandemic, the company’s authorities increased online sales, and as a result, stationary stores became unprofitable over time. The Swedish giant recorded losses and closed stores in Germany, where there were most of them. Similar plans await Spain, where H&M has 133 stores. There are almost 200 brand showrooms in Poland, and although only one branch in Opole has been closed so far, the company has decided to take a different step. It introduces something new to our country.
A new clothing brand in Poland. Will Poles like it?
The first Arket brand store is to be opened in Poland later this year. The most likely location will be Warsaw, although this information has not been confirmed yet. What is Arket and what can you buy there? This is a clothing store classified as a shelf higher than H&M. They have higher quality fabrics and are made of better and more durable materials. The store has an offer for both women and men, as well as children. There will also be home and interior design products. The brand also plans to enter the market in Milan and Geneva.
