“Pooh: Blood and Honey” is definitely the worst horror film that premiered in 2023, but also one of the worst-reviewed films in history. On Rotten Tomatoes, critics “awarded” the production with three percent on the freshness scale. Such a result on the website is a rarity when it comes to productions that have been released on cinema screens.
“Pooh: Blood and Honey” is the worst film of 2023. There will be a sequel
“One would like Pooh to disappear from the public domain,” wrote John Serba from Decider after the premiere. Critics were disappointed with the script. “There is not a single scene that makes sense in this sadistic, misogynistic film,” concluded Rich Cline of FilmFocus. The dark Pooh received one star from Karolina Korwin Piotrowska and Ćukasz Adamski from TVP Kultura. “During the screening, I looked like Eeyore after suffering stomach poisoning. This film is like honey, but from the ears,” writes the critic.
As you can see, anti-advertising is also a good way to gain publicity, because the announcement of the continuation of the production hated by reviewers has already appeared on the Internet. The second part of the horror movie, however, will be much more expensive. The creators invested as much as one million dollars in the slasher. The premiere is scheduled for early 2024.
“Pooh: Blood and Honey 2”. There is a trailer for the production, the premiere will be in 2024
Rhys Frake-Waterfield is back behind the camera and will tell the story of the further adventures of the murderous Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit and Owl, who no longer want to live in the shadow of the forest and start a bloody massacre in the town of Ashdown, which is supposed to be the final revenge on Christopher .
The role of Pooh will be played by Ryan Oliva, who replaced Craig David Dowsett. Young Teddy Bear will be played by Peter DeSouza-Feighoney, known from “The Exorcist of the Pope”, and Scott Chambers will play the role of Christopher Robin. The production will also feature a completely new character – Cavendish. She will be played by an actor known from “Shakespeare in Love”.
The filmmakers assure that, among other things, thanks to a larger budget, viewers can expect much better quality from the film. Matt Leslie was the author of the script for the second part of the slasher, and Shaune Harrison is also among the creators. He was part of the make-up team that won the 2000 OFTA Film Award for best make-up and hairstyles for the film “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace”.
