For several weeks, fans of the game show “Va Banque” have not been sure whether the program will return to TVP2. “Today we start the winter break. We won’t see each other until 2024. We don’t know yet exactly when we will broadcast the first premiere episode in the new year,” it was reported in November on the game show’s Facebook fan page.
The continuation of “Va Banque” was questionable. There is a clear station position
In the meantime, a real revolution began in Telewizja Polska, which began before Christmas, when the authorities in the public media changed. The target was Przemysław Babiarz, who in the past had not shied away from favorable opinions towards the United Right camp, which politicized the public media and turned them into a party propaganda mouthpiece.
It is true that this narrative was not as visible in entertainment programs as “Va Banque”, but the new owners of TVP do not take prisoners. All current presenters said goodbye to “Pytanie na breakfast”, and new faces of the breakfast show appeared on TV screens. However, now we know that the iconic game show in which participants answer questions will soon return.
The game show’s Facebook profile announced that the broadcast of new episodes of “Va Banque” will start on Friday, February 16. At the same time, the heads of TVP2 decided to slightly change the broadcast of the program. From now on, it will be broadcast from Monday to Saturday at 6:10 p.m. Moreover, from the photo published on the profile in January, it can be concluded that Przemysław Babiarz will still be the host.
Fans of the program do not hide their satisfaction. Under the post we can read a lot of flattering comments about the return of the game show. “We are counting down and I only hope that the presenters remain unchanged, otherwise it won’t be the same”, “Finally! I hope that with Mrs. Kasia and Przemek”, “When can we expect the activation of the application form?” – we read under the post.
