At work they call it “the pen”. When he tried to stand up, the employees burst into laughter

“Unfortunately, no one in the company respects my husband and they laugh at him for being a wimp and unable to make any decisions on his own. They point fingers at him and say that all they need to do is give him a piece of paper to sign and he even signs up right away. I’m ashamed that people perceive my partner this way.”

Angelika runs a company together with her husband. Adam is the president, his wife is in charge of marketing. It would seem that running your own business together would be a great idea. They trust each other, support each other, everyone does what they do best. The problem is that the woman’s husband is perceived very poorly by those around him. The employees don’t respect him, and behind his back they laugh and call him nicknames. However, it’s hard to react when they are right.

The difference in characters between the wife and the husband is colossal. Employees notice this too

Their relationship is very reminiscent of a fairy tale about a “good cop and a bad cop”. Only the bad one is Angelika and the good one is her husband. Angelika is responsible for paving the path in the company, determines the actions they must take, takes care of employees and all the most important matters. Her husband, on the other hand, is mainly responsible for signing signatures on papers and documents that he doesn’t even read. He agrees to everything and nothing bothers him. As a result, almost no one at work respects him or takes his opinion into account, and the nickname “pen” has stuck with him permanently.

In our relationship, I am the bad cop who makes most of the decisions and sets the path for the development of our company, and my husband Aleksander is formally the president, but in fact he has nothing to say

– writes the woman in her upload to styl.fm.

“My husband found out because he started pretending to be tough and so brave and masculine, and it really looked comical”

The woman emphasizes that he is a good man. They have been together for a long time and have been running the company for five years. The problem is that her husband is a loser even at home and cannot cope with the simplest tasks. Angelika assumes that at some point her husband realized what was happening. He tried to act tough and decisive. The effect was comical, he made strange faces and kept repeating that “you have to be tough, not soft.” The employees couldn’t stop laughing. The woman would like to help her husband, but has no idea how. He would need more decisiveness, self-confidence and the ability to make decisions with a firm hand. It’s sad to see employees making fun of him and talking behind his back. “How can I teach my Adam to be tough and let this time show that he is not a wimp and can make decisions on his own?” – Angelika asks at the end of her letter.
