During the elections in October 2023, it did not obtain a parliamentary majority, thus losing power in the country. Since then, its representatives have been doing everything to regain the lost trust among citizens and regain their support. One way is to meet with residents of various cities and smaller towns, during which they present their demands and visions for governance.
Mateusz Morawiecki is a Doda fan? This is what he said about the singer at the rally
It has long been known that politicians use various methods to win over citizens and gain their sympathy. This time, Mateusz Morawiecki was surprised by an original idea in this matter, who came to Ciechanów, his hometown, on February 4, 2023, to meet its inhabitants. During his speech, he decided to refer to the singer’s origins and spoke highly of her talent and work. – I know that Mrs. Dorota Rabczewska, the famous Doda – former prime minister – comes from your city, your land. – I must say that he really has a great voice, he sings very beautifully. I like her songs – he admitted directly, to the surprise of the audience.
After a while, he even added that his interests were also shared by his daughter, who had slightly more knowledge on the subject than he did. – My daughter educates me very intensively in this area. Please don’t be afraid, I won’t sing, he assured with a laugh. And although he actually refrained from presenting his vocal skills, he did try to quote him.
Mateusz Morawiecki quoted Doda’s hit. He drew attention to the message it conveyed
Morawiecki took inspiration from one of the most popular songs, “Nie da się”, and decided to remind the audience of this fragment. – I recently heard one of her songs, in which a certain phrase struck me: “Look people straight in the eye, few have the courage, they hide their faces with appearances.” That’s more or less how it went, he said. After a while, he emphasized that these words had great power and he wished all supporters of Law and Justice to walk with their heads raised and look people in the eyes, paying no attention to how the elections turned out and which side ultimately emerged victorious. – We have something to be proud of – he said.
Then he recalled some of the demands that, according to him, had already been implemented. – We had our solidarity slogans written high on our banners: dignity of working people, work for young people, fight against unemployment, equal opportunities for cities such as Ciechanów. And we managed to do a lot of things, he argued. At the very end, he referred to the title of the song, relating it to the current situation in the country. He confidently stated that this should be the motto of everyone who is concerned about the future of Poland. – So let’s not give up. Let’s not be divided, let’s not be manipulated, let’s not be intimidated – he appealed.
