Although acting gives her great fulfillment and the opportunity to develop, she does not hide that it was her biggest dream since childhood. In an interview, she admitted that her first attempts to enter the industry overseas were a real challenge for her. She took part in many castings, but the requirements she had to meet to even have a chance to negotiate a contract seem unthinkable to her today. – We went to castings, we had to fill in the form how tall we were and everything, but also how many followers we had on Instagram. It just hurt me, she said directly.
She mentioned that her ideas were completely different from what the world actually looks like behind the scenes. – It no longer matters whether we fit into a given campaign or not, but how many likes we have. It was something so striking to me. This world is changing and is probably going in a bad direction, because it shouldn’t look like this, she said. She quickly realized that neither experience nor physical conditions, or determination and willingness to work, were important to potential employers. The statistics of the profiles she ran on social media became a priority. – We didn’t talk about the fact that the girl was, I don’t know, exceptionally beautiful, or that she was special, that she had something about her, she said. – What mattered was how many likes she had on Instagram – she added regretfully.

Szymczak has never hidden the fact that, despite many difficulties, today her position in the industry in the United States is much better than in Poland. She also made no secret of the fact that being constantly under fire from the media is embarrassing for her and she tries to avoid it at all costs. – Our lives are a bit in the limelight. This is noticeable, certainly in Poland, it’s a matter of getting used to it, she said. For this reason, she usually attends industry events alone, does not give interviews with her husband, avoids conversations on private topics, and does not pose for photos together. – My husband and I don’t go into private matters much, we don’t talk about our private life, we don’t flaunt it. And I think that’s the coolest thing, said the actress.
