Sandra Milo is dead. The Italian actress died at the age of 90 at her home. She appeared in over 70 films and was professionally active practically until the end of her life.

On Monday morning, the family of Sandra Milo informed the media about the death of the icon of Italian cinema. “Today at 8:25 a.m. our mother died. She left us peacefully, falling asleep in her bed, according to her express request, surrounded by our love,” said the actress’ children.

Sandra Milo, or actually Salvatrice Elena Greco, made her first screen debut in 1955. She then appeared in “The Bachelor” by Antonio Pietrangeli. Later, she was noticed by the famous Italian director Federico Fellini, who cast the rising film star in two key roles for her career. We are talking about the films “Eight and a Half” and “Giulietta and the Spirits”, the first of which was awarded an Oscar. For her roles in both films, Sandra Milo received the Silver Ribbon, an award given since 1946 by the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists. The actress also appeared in such productions as: “Ghosts in Rome”, “The Escort” and “The Green Mare”.

Sandra Milo was also a star on Italian television. She hosted programs on Silvio Berlusconi’s RAI and Mediaset. In 2023, Milo starred in the series “Gigolak by Chance”.

Sandra Milo has been married three times. Her first husband was Cesare Rodighiero, whom she married at the age of 15. Their marriage broke up a month later. In the following years, the actress was also associated with Moris Ergas, with whom she had a daughter, Deborah, and Ottavio De Lollis, with whom she had two children – Ciro and Azzurra.
