Fashion is not only clothes, but also interior design and even plants. In the times of the Polish People’s Republic, this flower was a mandatory element of every window sill. It was very popular not only in homes, but also in offices.

Items are coming back into favor. More and more often, we furnish our apartments in the style of the 1970s or 1980s. Tables with narrow legs and stylized objects are again attracting the interest of interior designers. In those years, the plant was also fashionable and every housewife wanted to have it in her four walls.

What does geranium help with? The leaves of this plant have extraordinary properties

Geranium is a plant related to the currently popular geranium. Due to its healing properties, it was a popular flower in many homes. It is not without reason that it is called angina. Geranium leaves contain essential oils that have antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. They can be dried and made into tinctures or infusions. They will be useful in colds, respiratory infections and swelling. To prepare an infusion of geranium leaves, all you need to do is pick a few fresh leaves, put them in a glass and pour hot, but not boiling, water over them. After 10 minutes the drink will be ready to drink. We can consume it for mild colds, runny noses or sore throats. Optionally, you can add cloves, cinnamon or spices to improve the taste.

Where should the geranium be? Follow a few rules and it will grow beautifully

It’s a perennial. It grows quickly and is characterized by serrated leaves and a citrus scent. It requires a sunny position and a temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius to grow healthily. It does not like shade and excess moisture, so you should water it carefully and make sure the pot has holes, otherwise the geranium roots will start to rot. It is best to water it once a week, and during hot weather check the soil to make sure it is not too dry.
