Fonavistas can now dispute the amount to be returned

A little over a month ago, workers who contributed to the National Housing Fund (Fonavi) and never received their money back were able to start collecting. However, some were unpleasantly surprised that The amount they received was minuscule.like the case of a taxi driver who was only given S/46 after 12 years of contributions.

But not all is lost. The Fonavi Technical Secretariat has already enabled the Fonavista Certificate of Recognition and Rights (CERAD) for those who make up list 20. “For some, the certificate will express the total value of their contributions. But for others it will only be an advance figure,” says Luis Luzuriaga, president of the ad hoc commission to La República.

With this document you will be able to know in detail the number of months recognized per year and the total amount that corresponds to you. If the worker observes that information has been omitted, he has a period of 15 business days—until February 12—to object.

According to Luzuriaga, to request reconsideration the worker must bring a copy of his CERAD and documented support for the contributions that have not been considered.

For those who are from the ONP 19990 regime it is easier because they can attach the retirement resolution, the same for those who belong to the private pension system. AFPmaintains the also Fonavista leader.

This procedure can be done in person at the offices of the Technical Secretariat or by sending an email to [email protected]. Another option is to approach the Better Citizen Service (MAC) modules.

How to access CERAD?

To obtain this document, you must enter the fonavi-st.gob.pe website and click on option 5, “Check your CERAD Payment Group No. 20 here.” Then you must enter your username, password (SIFONAVI key) and the verification code and click on “Consult CERAD”.

Although the deadline to challenge the contribution amounts is very limited, Jorge Milla, member of the ad hoc commission, points out that they will seek to expand it, since the reality of Fonavistas is very different. “Suppose I am a Fonavista and I have not retired and I have to go get a work certificate and suddenly the company is far from where I live,” he says.

Likewise, there is the case of workers who will not be able to support that they had greater contributions because the company where they worked simply no longer exists. For them, Luzuriaga points out that A maximum refund amount of S/6,680 has been calculatedbased on a calculation of what was collected by the Banco de la Nación between 1980 and 1995. The total amount amounted to S/1,275 million and updated to date would be S/6,680 million.

This working group has also specified to this medium that of the 64,272 Fonavistas that make up group 20 of payments, no one received more than S/6,680, since the Technical Secretariat had very little time to validate the contributions. Thus, there were about 400 Fonavistas whose CERAD was for a higher amount, but which will be delivered in group 21, which is expected to be approved in March.

Ad hoc committee meets on Thursday

Thursday, February 1, will be the next session of the ad hoc commission, and now that they have approved the next group of Paymentson their agenda is to determine the guidelines for the debtors of the Fonaviwhich implies an amount of around S/260 million, which would be used to continue with the returns.

Another point is to discuss and define the situation of the 338,000 older adults excluded from payments for having been borrowers from the Materials Bank, despite having paid their debt, according to Luzuriaga.
