Wiktor Jêdrzejak is dead. The painter was 68 years old

Wiktor Jędrzejak, a painter associated with Kalisz all his life, is dead. The artist was 68 years old. He is being bid farewell on social media by, among others, president of the city where he was born and created.

Painter Wiktor Jędrzejak is dead

Wiktor Jędrzejak was born and worked in Kalisz. He discovered his love for art in the 1980s, when he painted the first of his many paintings. He specialized in immortalizing any everyday surface – wooden doors, cutting boards, pieces of sheet metal, shutters – other everyday objects, which are becoming less and less popular. His paintings mainly include studies of pots, vessels, jugs and jugs, sometimes accompanied by still lifes. He liked to immortalize historical buildings or scenes from everyday life during his trips to Asia. In an interview with Weranda.pl, he stated that he was actually born in a different era than he should have been – he was closer to the 19th century than to the present day.

This view, unrelated to the modern world, was appreciated by art galleries all over the world. Wiktor Jędrzejak’s works have been exhibited on every continent and he has won 21 national painting competitions. The mayor of the city, Krystian Kinastowski, said goodbye to the artist from Kalisz:

“We have received extremely sad news. Wiktor Jędrzejak has died. An excellent painter, he was associated with his home town of Kalisz all his life. Creative, searching, following his own artistic path. Appreciated and awarded. For years, he was involved in charity activities and supported those in need. A few weeks “Ago, we met to talk about subsequent projects and the publishing house, in which Wiktor Jędrzejak summed up his work so far with the creator. Unfortunately, it was our last meeting. I express my condolences to his family, relatives and friends”
