Charlene of Monaco expenses controversy
Palmero, who was removed from his position in June 2023 and criminally charged by Prince Albert, revealed to French newspaper Le Monde a series of confidential documents detailing the royal couple’s alleged expenses, El Mundo reports.
Among them, it is mentioned that Charlene spent almost a million euros (more than a million dollars) on remodeling her vacation villa in Corsica and a similar amount on renovating her office in the Monte Carlo Palace.

According to Palmer, Charlene has reportedly spent around €15 million since marrying Albert in 2011, which is almost double her annual pocket money of €1.5 million.
El Mundo, citing the French newspaper, reports that the former royal employee also denounced that Charlene hired illegal immigrants to look after her twin children, Princes Jacques and Gabriella, and that she only paid them about 100 euros a day, which the equivalent of just over $108.
This was Prince Albert of Monaco’s reunion with his mother’s family at Grace Kelly’s house, a colonial mansion the royal family bought for $800,000 in 2016.
In addition, he would send large sums of money to his brother Sean to buy a house in South Africa.
“It’s crazy,” Palmero told the newspaper ‘Le Monde’. “I have no control over the princess’s expenses,” he said.
