The exact composition varies depending on the manufacturer, but the production process is in most cases the same. So what can you find in a mascara package? Among others carnauba wax, candelilla wax, beeswax, glycerin stearate, vitamin E, which gives a smooth consistency, emulsifier, pigments, e.g. iron oxide, and pH-balancing substances. The list also includes chemical substances that give the ink the right texture and properties, e.g. water resistance.

How to make mascara? You only need four ingredients
You can make your own mascara at home. You need a clean container of old mascara, a syringe and a bowl will also come in handy. Add one by one to the vessel: half a teaspoon of vitamin E oil (you can also use vitamin capsules), half a teaspoon of coconut oil heated to a liquid form and mix. Add 1.5 teaspoons of aloe gel and stir again. Finally, add the contents of 2 capsules of medicinal charcoal or a flat teaspoon of cosmetic charcoal and stir. Using a syringe, fill the mascara container with the mixture.
