Barbara Kurdej-Szatan talks about TVP. “Every three weeks it was drilled into Poles’ heads that I was ungrateful”

She lost her job in the fall of 2021 after her comment on social media, in which she bluntly summarized the activities of the Border Guard in the Polish-Belarusian section.

Although the actress did not confirm this information, she admitted that she had received an offer from Polish Television. She would host “Question for Breakfast”.

This phone call completely disarmed me and moved me… And not because I was offered to host the program. But because I realized at that moment that the campaign against me on TVP was really over. For two years, on average every three weeks, the authorities displayed my entry on TVP’s main news, convincing Poles that I was anti-Polish, a disgusting ingrate. Without giving a reason for my reaction or showing the cruel video I reacted to.

After two days, I apologized for the vulgarity and excessive emotions, explained what it was about and what was cruel and should not have happened. But no one in power dealt with the issue of the crisis at the border, no one was interested in suffering people, women, small children, but from then on they had a great reason to divert attention from the real problem and create the problem of an ingrate who did not respect the uniform. Because they presented the matter in general terms – as if I didn’t respect everyone. It was heated up regularly, their voters actually started to believe it and see me that way. Kurski soon announced the concert ‘A wall behind the Polish uniform’, some presenters eagerly hashtagged the title and dressed in khaki. The scandal was getting worse, the minister’s asshole was getting more millions to organize hate campaigns, I was under more and more stress, and people in the forest were still dying. It was all very traumatic

Barbara Kurdej-Szatan will not run the breakfast service

Later in the post, the actress explained why she rejected the offer to host the breakfast program. She wrote that this is a task mainly for journalists and people who see their future with this program formula. For her, the theater and television scenes remain a priority.

She also mentioned a possible return to “M jak miłość”. Although the production would probably like to see her character reintroduced into the series, Barbara Kurdej-Szatan has not received any specific proposal yet:
