The news about the musician’s death appeared on profiles related to and run by his friends. The departure of Mariusz Andraszek, affectionately called “Maniek” and “Maniuś”, was written on the profile of the Jelonek i Hunter group.

“With great sadness, regret and a sense of irreversible loss, we announce the death of our friend, a wonderful musician, Mariusz “Maniek” Andraszek. Maniuś, we will miss you very much on stage and in the studio, we will miss your musical sensitivity and imagination, your powerful bass “from your paw”, your sayings, jokes, discussions about art and life, your stories about history, monuments, architecture and archeology. We will miss you very much…”

– wrote friends from the Jelonki group, with which Andraszek was associated from the beginning of its existence.

“In such moments, every word seems inappropriate. It is with great regret that we write this… Maniuś has passed away. Jelonek’s bassist from the beginning. Very close to us. He was not only a great musician, but above all an amazing man, full of light and humor. Such The news is heartbreaking.”

– wrote the musicians of the band Hunter.

Mariusz Andraszek has been associated with Michał Jelonek for years, since the musician also decided on a solo career after several years of cooperation with the Hunter group. Under the name Jelonek, “Maniek” was responsible for the heavy bass sound and vocals.

“He works hard, knows no mercy and takes no prisoners! It makes the tuners go crazy. He jumps and swings around the stage like a panther combined with a scorpion or something like that. In any case, he is the most Indian of all of us! He is responsible for most parts (and associations) of basses on a deer-like disc and blame him if your woofers start to “fart”

– musicians who played with him in Jelonek praised their friend.

Michał Jelonek and Mariusz Andraszek also worked together, among others: on the Orchestra of Our Days project, the effects of which you can see in the recording below:
