Marta Manowska about LGBT couples in “The Farmer Wants a Wife”. He talks about changes directly

The latest edition of the TVP dating hit will feature same-sex couples for the first time, although until recently no one would have believed it. Now the host and star of “The Farmer Wants a Wife”, Marta Manowska, took the floor.

“The Farmer Wants a Wife” is an absolute bestseller on Polish Television. Subsequent seasons of the dating show constantly break viewership records, so it is not surprising that the next season of the production has been announced. The previous, 10th edition ended in December last year and was also full of great emotions. However, these may pale in comparison to those generated by the latest one, thanks to the revolutionary change in the program format.

Marta Manowska directly about the decision. “Natural”

In the upcoming 11th edition of “The Farmer”, the creators are expanding the rules of the dating show, which will also include same-sex couples. This decision was met with great applause from television viewers. And what does the host, Marta Manowska, think about all this? In an interview for Plejada, she admitted that she did not see anything strange in homosexual relationships and was happy with their appearance in the production.

I don’t know if it was unthinkable. This is not a question for me. However, I am happy and I think that the production has exhausted this thread, simply by answering in one sentence. I am a supporter of talking about these topics very simply and briefly, because they are natural and there is no need to talk about them too much. That’s how I feel

– she assessed.

Interestingly, in one of the previous editions we witnessed a participant who got involved with another woman after the end of the show. Krystyna Kamińska was a candidate for Robert Filochowski’s wife in “The Farmer”, but after a few years she revealed herself as bisexual in one of the interviews. Today he is married to his chosen one and together they are raising a daughter in Scotland.

Not just a news segment. The changes go further

This is yet another echo of changes in Polish Television, not only in the journalism segment, but also in the entertainment segment. Not so long ago, two famous homosexual couples were invited to the morning hit “Pytanie na śniadanie”, and the show featured an unexpected sight – the LGBT+ flag fluttered in the studio, and none of the publishers or management intervened, as was the case in the past .
