The news about the death of Barbara Barska (actually Barbara Gospodarek, artistic pseudonym – editor’s note) circulated in the media on Tuesday morning, January 23. A short obituary was published on the website of “Gazeta Wyborcza”:

She spent her last years in a nursing home. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones

Mrs. Barbara has been living in a nursing home for the last 9 years due to her constantly deteriorating health condition, and her son Tomasz assured that it was the best solution for her. The woman could count on constant support from her relatives who visited her regularly. Late last year, however, Stockinger delivered the devastating news that he and his family were expecting the worst.

“My mother is at the end of her life, she is 97 years old. She is our great concern now. We are worried about how long she will be with us, because she is becoming more and more distant from us,” he said in an interview with “Twój Imperium”. He also assured that despite everything, she can count on the constant help of her family, who are witnesses of her “gradual passing.” Barbara Brylska spent her last moments with her loved ones.

She paved the way for post-war artists. She co-created the cult trio

The artist came from a large family and at the time of her birth on December 3, 1926, she was the 12th child of her parents. After the war, in the years 1947-1954, together with sisters Adrianna and Zofia, they co-founded the legendary band “Sisters Triola”. The woman also performed with the Jan Cajmer and Kazimierz Turewicz orchestras, and then she married the actor and singer Andrzej Stockinger. The fruit of their marriage is a daughter, Katarzyna – also an operetta singer, and a son, Tomasz, whom we know primarily from the role of doctor Paweł Lubicz in the TV series “Klan”.
