This time, the artist reached for “Collected Works” by Miron Białoszewski and composed an album based on the poems he selected. The subject of the auction is a CD with Mateusz Pospieszalski’s autograph.
In addition to Mateusz Pospieszalski, 11 original compositions are performed by Ania Rusowicz, Karolina Czarnecka, Jan Jakub Monowid, Ralph Kaminski and Błażej Król. Their improvisations constitute comments on Białoszewski’s story, creating a new quality of the song. The album features a classic form with jazz elements, full of emotions and a rock flair.
The CD album contains 11 songs – two more than its streaming version. This is the artist’s nod to the recipients of physical media and analogue music.
About the #OneDayDłużej campaign – we play for WOŚP
The Gazeta.pl campaign for WOŚP was born in 2019 and it was not a happy time. The 27th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra was the first in which there was no smile and pride in helping children or the elderly until late at night. The celebration of goodness, one of the greatest social events in Poland after 1989, was interrupted by the tragic events in Gdańsk. The mayor of the city, Paweł Adamowicz, was mortally wounded on the WOŚP stage.
Then we decided: let’s finish the finale next Sunday, let’s defeat evil together. This idea is still valid, although for several years we have been finishing not a week, but the next day after the WOŚP finale.
The goal of the 32nd Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is “Lungs after the pandemic. We play for children and adults!”. The money collected as part of the #OneDayOver auction will go to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
