Today the preliminary phase of the Official competition of Cádiz carnival groups (COAC) in it Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz. For this Tuesday the 23rd there are no rookies, and some of the participants are already veterans who have gone far in previous editions of the COAC. The performances, like every day, will begin starting at 8:00 p.m.

In this session 15 highlights ‘The classic chirigota’ of Manolin Santander and Manuel Sanchez Reyes, winners of the 2022 edition and second prize of the year 2023. This group has experienced many departures and signings this year, so it presents itself with a renewed squad. The composer and director Ale Huelva will be in the musical direction of the troupe ‘Where we were happy’of German Garcia Rendonand also appears as the author of the music of ‘The refugees’from the veteran José Manuel Soto López.

Special attention to ‘The Cadigenas’, a troupe of the Rota girls that last year left a great impression in the contest, despite not surpassing the preliminary barrier. They complete the day ‘This chorus is crazy’in the third participation of the group of Jose Luis Bustelo and Jesus Monkand ‘The Gallitanos’from the Córdoba chirigota led by David Amayawhich is presented for the third consecutive year.
