“One party will unexpectedly change the life of teenage Tymon, complicating his relationship with his relatives. Meanwhile, a real threat is growing around everyone resulting from the wave of socio-political tensions. People go to the streets en masse. The boy and his friends living in their own, hermetic world must decide whether the attitude of passive observers of the reality changing before their eyes is enough for them, “announces Canal Plus its latest miniseries created in collaboration with Papaya Films.
About growing up without compromise. Premiere of the miniseries “Wolf”
The role of Tymon was played by Sebastian Dela, known from the Polish slashers – “In the forest today no one will sleep” and “In the depths of the forest” – Sebastian Dela. Wiktoria Supryn, Weronika Dzierżyńka and rapper Borys “Bedoes” Przybylski, for whom this is his acting debut, also starred. Apart from young actors, the stars of Polish cinema – Agata Kulesza, Magdalena Boczarska, Grzegorz Damięcki and Grzegorz Ma³ecki performed under the watchful eye of a young 24-year-old director. The narrative is complemented by famous pieces from the hip-hop music scene performed, among others, by OIO, Bedoes, Lank and Lordofon and Schafter.
The director is debuting Jan Dybus. As it is presented by the producers – its first language is short, digital and real-time content. He graduated from Westminster School of Media Arts and Design London, majoring in TV Production. Jan Dybus is also the author of the script, which was created in cooperation with Charles Spano. He himself emphasizes:
It’s a story based largely on my own experiences. I am 24 years old and until recently I myself was one of those Tymons – torn between herd and a solitary way of life. Just like the title WOLK
Producer Kacper Sawicki assures: “In ‘The Wolf’ you can see all that emotional rollercoster that accompanies growing up. In addition, in the background a conflict of generations fueled by the characters of a despotic father and mother, who cannot find herself in life. Everything shown without stretching, censorship and perfect proportions “. Canal Plus also encourages parents of young people to watch: “Innovative in the form of a miniseries, it is a response to the way in which the young generation, brought up on social media, consumes Internet content – with headphones in their ears and a smartphone in hand, moving quickly through the city space. However, it is not only a series for post-millennials of the Zet generation who will find themselves in their characters. It is also a great place for their parents to whom the series can bring the ‘real’ life and problems of their teenage children.
The whole season of the series “Wolf” will be available from 20.12 on CANAL + online at canalplus.com. Premiere of all episodes on CANAL + PREMIUM 22.12 from 22:30.
