The TVP Info website is operational again, but some articles have been removed. “Failed verification”

The TVP Info service resumed operations, but in a limited form. Some articles were removed from the website, which in turn did not escape the attention of Internet users. “This is an action like from Orwell’s Ministry of Truth,” thundered the former head of TVP Weekly in an interview with Wirtualne Media.

TVP Info returned to the network, as did the station’s YouTube channel. However, some content was removed from the public broadcaster’s website, which, as Andrzej Jaszczyszyn said, had not been verified in terms of journalistic skills. “In recent days, we have verified the content from the website in terms of the reliability of journalistic skills. Materials bordering on propaganda that have not passed this verification will not be made available to the public,” he tells Wirtualnemedia.pl.

As a result of these actions, not only strictly political content, such as archival recordings of the “Jak omi lie” program, but also historical articles, were to disappear from the website. Patryk SÅ‚owik, a journalist from Wirtualna Polska, drew attention to this. “A lot of good texts were removed from TVP’s websites – including historical texts by scientists – just because they were written during the PiS government. A massacre,” he wrote on the X website.

In turn, Dominik Zdort, former editor of the TVP Weekly suspended at the end of last year, in an interview with Wirtualne Media accused the new management of acting comparable to “Orwell’s Ministry of Truth”. “Ladies and Gentlemen, the TVP authorities have just removed the entire content of the TVP Weekly issues from the network. We would like to thank our loyal readers, collaborators and everyone who wished us well,” wrote the journalist on the X website.
