Visiting a museum/gallery in Warsaw with Sylwia Zientek, author of the book “Only One” [AKCJA DLA WO¦P]

As part of the Gazeta.pl #OneDayD³u¿ej campaign, the author of the book “Only them. Polish art without men” invites you to join us for a tour.

The subject of the auction is a visit to a Warsaw museum or gallery together with Sylwia Zientek (the place and date will be agreed with the auction winner, no later than…). We provide reimbursement of travel costs within Poland for people from outside Warsaw. The winner will also receive the book “Only They” with a dedication from the author.

Sylwia Zientek is a writer and author of novels, primarily on historical topics, but also short stories and biographies. Her works include titles such as “Hotel Varsovie” – a multi-volume saga set in Warsaw, “Kolonia Marusia” and “Mirages”. In 2021, Agora Publishing House published the book “Polish women in Montparnassie”. A year later, in October 2022, her next novel based on facts titled “Lunia and Modigliani”. The heroines of the book “Only them. Polish art without men” (Agora Publishing House) are outstanding, although somewhat forgotten artists. From the very beginning, they had to make their way in a male-dominated world. Today, their stubbornness and perseverance are an inspiration to others.

About the #OneDayDłużej campaign – we play for WOŚP

The Gazeta.pl campaign for WOŚP was born in 2019 and it was not a happy time. The 27th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra was the first in which there was no smile and pride in helping children or the elderly until late at night. The celebration of goodness, one of the greatest social events in Poland after 1989, was interrupted by the tragic events in Gdańsk. The mayor of the city, Paweł Adamowicz, was mortally wounded on the WOŚP stage.

Then we decided: let’s finish the finale next Sunday, let’s defeat evil together. This idea is still valid, although for several years we have been finishing not a week, but the next day after the WOŚP finale.

The goal of the 32nd Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is “Lungs after the pandemic. We play for children and adults!”. The money collected as part of the #OneDayOver auction will go to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. We also invite you to watch live on January 29 in the evening, during which we will end our auctions. We hope that there will be plenty of emotions and people willing to support the campaign. See you! And you can find all our auctions HERE.
