After Law and Justice lost the parliamentary elections, it was certain that there would be significant changes in the functioning of public media. On October 15, during the election campaign, Coalition politicians unanimously announced the depoliticization of TVP, Polish Radio and the Polish Press Agency.
Stars of Polish Television from the times of the so-called good change was made by various movements before the revolution came to fruition. Danuta Holecka escaped from the sinking ship and started working at TV Republika after Christmas. The same station also included Miłosz Kłeczek, Adrian Borecki and Micha³ Rachoñ, but they “lasted until the end” on TVP Info. What about Magdalena Ogórek?
Magdalena Ogórek had many faces in the (public) media. What’s next for her career?
During the rule of the United Right, the former presidential candidate hosted many programs in public media. In addition to numerous formats on TVP Info, it also had programs on Radio One, Polskie Radio 24, and even on several regional radio stations of the public broadcaster. Not wanting to read the tea leaves about her future media career, we asked Warsaw passers-by for their opinions.
Particularly noteworthy are the statements of two women who “predict” Magdalena Ogórek’s return to TVN. Let us recall that in 2014 she hosted the “Atlas of the World” program on TVN24 BiS. However, both of the ladies we met argued their opinions in completely different ways.
She should come to her senses, examine her conscience and try, said the younger interlocutor.
She would fit anywhere. (…) She could [iść do TVN – przyp. red.] – suggested one of the seniors.
A young girl shared a peculiar answer. After a short moment of reflection, she replied that Magdalena Ogórek could find a job in… a boutique! – Or just let him work in a store – she added. – I happened to see her on TV while visiting my grandfather and I think it was good. I guess… – she concluded.
