A new format with a “controversial” name will go to TVP. However, details cool emotions
It is not known whether the public broadcaster will now want to continue the show about brave nuns, but it is quite possible that it will want to “catch up” with private broadcasters who have offered many unconventional programs in recent years. One of such formats is the dating program “Magia nago¶ci”, which is broadcast in Poland by Zoom TV.
The first edition of the show was released in 2016 in Great Britain and since then many local versions have been created, including Polish. The program’s formula involves the participant looking for a potential candidate for a partner, but only based on their appearance. The gathered candidates stand naked in colorful tubes, and subsequent parts of the body are revealed over the next few minutes.
The gossip portal discovered that Telewizja Polska is working on a program that, in their opinion, may raise similar controversies as the above-mentioned “The Magic of Nudity”. However, according to the announcement, the “Zdrada” program will not be a para-documentary series (a production with a similar name is broadcast by Polsat Cafe) or a reality show. The new format is to be a talk show:
Have you been cheated on by your previous partners? You never step into the same river twice, and for you, betrayal is the final end of your relationship? You don’t understand how something like that can be forgiven? Apply to our project and share your story. We are looking for interesting people from all over Poland, aged 23-60

Television in Poland has so far downplayed the topic of relationships and relationships. Will this change?
Although we do not yet know specific details about the new TVP program, it seems that it may fit into the idea of a public mission. Why? In the so-called traditional media lack professional and modern debate on relationships and various interpersonal relationships. If programs of this type already appear on Polish broadcasters, they have a strictly entertainment function.
However, you can find different and more qualitative content on the Internet. An example is the podcast “Me and my idiot friends” by Joanna Okuniewska, which was very popular at one time and had several dozen episodes. Its creator talked about unusual situations in relationships with other men and women.
These were stories from her own experience, as well as those sent to her by her listeners. And thanks to the accessible language and engaging content, many listeners were able to identify with the stories presented in it. The author gained incredible popularity, which resulted in the publication of a book with the same title. As reported in 2021, the podcast “Me and my idiot friends” was the most listened to in the comedy category on Spotify. In the same year, Okuniewska even became one of the co-hosts of a program on newonce.radio.
However, on the Internet you can come across many other formats on similar topics that have not achieved such popularity. A YouTuber nicknamed Man Absurdalny created a second channel where he showed the program “Bed Conversations”, in which he discussed topics related to relationship problems, dating applications and sex. His guests were not very recognizable people who openly talked about their experiences in this area.
In turn, one day I came across a podcast on Spotify titled: “How to be gay and not go crazy” by a man named Stanisław. At a time when there is more and more talk about the rights of LGBT+ people, I think it is also worth listening to what dating for rainbow people looks like, which does not necessarily always look the same as for heteronormative people. The creator raises many issues that are well known to people in the community, but have not been discussed very often in the public space until now.
