“It was such a long process, sowing seed after seed, watering it and polishing it, and in all those moments you don’t realize how much time passes. “When I held the book in my hands I said, ‘Wow, this is now a reality,’ and it was amazing,” confesses in an interview to Diario EL UNIVERSO.
He has always liked to write. “I’ve always liked doing it. I think I’ve done it all my life. (It’s) one of the reasons why I studied journalism. I feel that through what I write I can express and clarify my ideas. When I write, I find a perfect world,” he declares.

One, two, three, up
Published under the editorial new Moonthis book, with a very personal tone, was born in 2016. It is not something that happened overnight.
“I feel like I put a lot of emotion into it and tried to show different aspects of life,” he says of the story that covers the different stages of human growth. Heapthe young protagonist, who must face and overcome a series of situations.

The book is divided into sections and each of these starts with an introduction to what you will read next.
“You will be able to read adventures that the main character experiences throughout her life, but also less good things and normal problems that we all experience from time to time. Different characters intervene at each stage. I wrote this book so that those who read it can better empathize with the reality that people live in, and for everyone who can identify with it,” says Cindy.
The title of the book
One, two, three, up It was a line her mother said, and that’s the personal touch Cindy brings to the story. “It was clearly an inspiration for what she repeated over and over again when she was ill. I remember it had no title, but when I finished it I realized that the message I was trying to convey was identified and resembled that phrase,” he says.

That prayer that became a constant remained etched in his memory. “This is also a reminder to all people that life is fragile and short, we don’t have to be bitter about small things. If you have a problem, you need to breathe and count One, two, three, up and get up, try again until we achieve it,” he says.

An anecdote about the process
Cindy mentions that during the development of writing the book, she almost lost it when she accidentally deleted it from her computer. “I had no backup, I was about to finish and I had a problem with my equipment. Luckily I was able to find it and from then on I kept it with everyone (laughs), I even sent it to myself by post.”
