He confessed that he watched it for the first time when he was maybe 20 years old, and the story still makes a striking impression on him. – ‘Ashes and Diamonds’ is a powerful film – he said with delight. – This hero is doomed to failure from the very beginning and there is something very beautiful about it, because he falls in love and, at least for those few moments, finds life.
