Although for some people living in such conditions is becoming the norm and wearing protective masks is an everyday occurrence, the air quality may soon improve. All because of the new regulations. According to , the European Union aims to ensure that buildings in its territory are zero-emission. What does this ultimately mean? This involves removing fossil fuel stoves from existing buildings and banning their installation in new buildings. From 2028, the ban will cover new buildings owned by local governments or the state, and from 2030 also private ones. We are talking about agricultural and farm buildings – their owners will have time to change their heating systems to zero-emission ones until 2050. Although some dates seem distant in time, it is worth considering a strategy aimed at phasing out non-zero-emission devices now.
