The prom season is in full swing, and the first recordings of the most interesting performances by high school graduates are already online. Students from the 3rd Secondary School named after colonel Dionizy Czachowski in Radom decided to diversify the classic polonaise, setting it in the convention of “Swan Lake”. They posted a recording of the preparations and later of the official performance online.
“Swan Lake” or Polonaise? Students from Radom put on a great show during their prom
Year by year, more and more schools give up the traditional polonaise in favor of a performance that will not only impress the audience, but will also be remembered for many years. High school graduates from the 3rd Secondary School named after colonel Dionizy Czachowski in Radom coped with this task perfectly, replacing classic steps with choreography straight from “Swan Lake”. The students not only reproduced the original ballet arrangement, but also created an admirable set. A large swan appeared on stage, and the dancers performed in costumes that we might associate with theater plays.
The students prepared a performance under the supervision of MichaĆ Ankiewicz, the owner of a dance studio and event agency. The video from the prom appeared on YouTube and almost immediately caused Internet users’ delight. “Finally a polonaise where everyone dances and doesn’t walk around like ‘pegs’. Bravo, great job”, “A heavenly performance. It was something beautiful”, “I’m picking my jaw up from the floor! Class in itself” – we read in the comments under the video.
