José Maria Bisbal’s story can serve as an inspiration to other people who have a similar condition to his. The older brother of singer David Bisbal is now in a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury.

Faced with this famous panorama, the performer “Bulería” provided a magical moment and brought smiles to the patients National Hospital for Paraplegics in Toledowhere his brother José María received medical attention a few months ago.

“I was recently discharged from this magnificent hospital where I had been for almost five months due to a spinal cord injury,” Josemi, as his family calls him, said in a November 2023 interview with Informalia.

There, it was then learned about his new condition after his strange and commented disappearance in April of the same year, when the Civil Guard had to intervene for his search and subsequent rescue. The details of that incident are still unknown.

It was a surprise visit, but as a clear sign of gratitude for the treatment and care given to his brother José María during the time he was there, this is how the Ser network describes him.

David Bisbal’s presence at the aforementioned hospital included a tour of the former participant of Operación Triunfo through various facilities of the health center, such as the sports and children’s areas.

It was the space provided for the gym that was suitable for Bisbal to sing one of his most popular songs, “Ave María”.

The 44-year-old singer from Almería took to his Instagram account to show in a carousel of photos what his stay at the National Hospital for Paraplegics in Toledo, considered one of the best in the world for the treatment of spinal cord injuries, was like.

“I was able to share it with patients, family members and workers whom I deeply admire for their will, effort and dedication. Without a doubt, it was an injection of positive energy for me as well”, said the performer in his announcement, adding that “music is a great companion and medicine for the soul and heart”.
