Do you wash the tap regularly? You’re definitely forgetting one element. It is a breeding ground for dirt and bacteria

Cleaning the bathroom is not our favorite activity. It usually takes a lot of time and strength, because some things need to be scrubbed thoroughly. Many of us completely forget about two elements that, contrary to appearances, perform an important function. We are talking about the strainer and the aerator housing.

Most of us consider the bathroom tap to be one of the quickest to clean. We focus on the shower cabin and toilet, and we quickly wipe the faucet and do not pay much attention to it. This is a big mistake, because there are elements inside that should be cleaned regularly. If you haven’t done this before, it’s high time to change it.

Home methods for cleaning bathroom faucets. Remember two things

The faucet with an aerator is equipped with a special strainer that reduces water consumption. More and more people are choosing such a faucet, because it is one of the best home solutions. The aerator is mounted at the end of the faucet and consists of two parts: a metal ring and a fine-mesh strainer. People forget that scale also accumulates on it and they only clean the outside of the tap.

Such a bathroom faucet requires thorough cleaning at least once a month. It is worth remembering this, because if neglected it will no longer fulfill its function. The impurities accumulated in the strainer will sooner or later block the water flow. You can wash the aerator and the strainer with water and vinegar, but we know a better way.

How to clean the tap from scale? One product for PLN 2 is enough

No special detergents are needed to clean the aerator. All you need is a product you have at home. And even if you have to buy it, you can easily get it in any store. It costs less than PLN 2. We are talking about citric acid, which perfectly removes scale. Unscrew the aerator using an adjustable wrench. Pour one pack of kvass into a bowl and pour hot water over it. Immerse the aerator and strainer in it. Leave for 20 minutes. After this time, rinse all elements thoroughly and blow them out. Wipe dry and reinstall in the sink. Citric acid can also be replaced with baking soda.
