New details about Shakira’s stalking are known. The Spanish press brings more information a few days after announcing the arrest of Daniel John Valtiero, a 56-year-old native of El Paso, Texas, who traveled to Florida to stop in front of the residence of a woman from Barranquilla.

The person in question stated on his social networks that he is Shakira’s “husband”. After showing up at the artist’s mansion on North Bay Road Drive, he was arrested and a judge doubled his bail to $100,000 after his court appearance. The judge presiding over the case also ordered a restraining order.

Disturbing Instagram messages from stalker to Shakira

Appearing at an artist residency was the final straw. He previously dedicated her to bullying in other ways, reports El Nacional de Catalunya.

On January 8, 2024, his arrest took place, and in his testimony before the judge, Daniel admitted that “she is my wife, I talk to her all the time.”

But these are not the only words that cause concern. In a message published on one of his social networks, he assured that he would adopt Milan and Sasha, Shakira’s children with Gerard Piqué. He added that he would marry her so that the artist would get American citizenship.

“I will adopt children when I marry Shakira. She wants to be an American like her father and spend the rest of her life with me. We will have a business with trucks”, is the translation of the message that Daniel John Valtier posted on his Instagram on October 9, 2023.

From November 2023, the person in question sent direct messages to Shakira’s Instagram account and also sent her bottles of wine, chocolates and toys for Milan and Sasha, review National.

The disturbing situation spiraled out of control when a man showed up at Shakira’s residence, disrupting the peace the artist had found since moving to the United States following her split from Gerard Piqué. (AND)
