This will be the first television interview of the Prime Minister since the October parliamentary elections. Donald Tusk is to refer to changes in the functioning of public media and the detention of former PiS MPs Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik. These matters arouse great opposition from supporters of Law and Justice. The Prime Minister is also to assess the government’s actions so far.
There have been similar initiatives by television broadcasters in the past, but the last time such an undertaking took place was in 2014, a year before the advent of the so-called good change. Then TVP, TVN and Polsat jointly broadcast an interview with President Bronisław Komorowski. Questions to the head of state were then asked by Kamil Durczok (TVN), Jarosław Gugała (Polsat) and Piotr Kraśko (TVP).
The viewership of this interview on all three stations amounted to 1.23 million people, and the interview was conducted in the Belvedere Palace, where Bronisław Komorowski lived during his term of office.
