Negative temperatures and frost are not conducive to washing windows. We are cold, and the liquid freezes quickly on the windows. Then it is difficult to clean them. A home-made mixture based on three ingredients comes to the rescue. You will be delighted when you see the effect.

Window cleaning is one of the most hated jobs. In winter, we do it even longer because we are discouraged by bad weather and frost. However, the windows need to be washed and the ugly white residue removed. Put on your rubber gloves and get to work. Instead of spending money on window cleaning fluids that will freeze in a few seconds, make a homemade one.

What can I replace window cleaning liquid with? In winter, the product from the car will work well

The first rule of washing windows in winter is: never wash them with hot water. Although this option is tempting because it will warm your hands, it is not good for the windows. Warm water will freeze much faster than cold water, and this may cause the glass to crack. When washing windows during the winter months, always use cool water.

Also, get a squeegee to collect the water immediately after you finish. Thanks to this, it will not freeze on the glass and the risk of it breaking will significantly decrease. Instead of classic windshield washer fluid, you can use winter windshield washer fluid. It will create a protective layer on the glass and protect it against dirt.

The second way is to make window cleaning fluid yourself at home. You will need three things: water, lemon juice and spirit. Mix 2 liters of cold water with 3 tablespoons of spirit and 7 tablespoons of lemon juice. Pour the resulting mixture into a spray bottle and spray the windows. Wipe with a paper towel and finally with a microfiber cloth. Lemon juice will make the windows shine, and there will also be a pleasant, fresh scent throughout the house. Choose a cloudy day when the temperature does not drop below 0 degrees Celsius to clean windows.
