Draka in the TVN24 studio. Olejnik finally lost his nerve: “Are you kidding me?”

On Monday evening, Monika Olejnik hosted Krzysztof ¦miszek and Michał Wójcik in the TVN24 studio. The MPs discussed the case of Mariusz Kamiñski and Maciej Wąsik with the host of “Kropki nad i”. The dispute between the politicians led to a sharp exchange of opinions, which Olejnik tried to put an end to. It didn’t end with one warning.

During Monday’s edition, members of the 10th term of the Sejm sat opposite: Krzysztof Śmiszek from the Left and Michał Wójcik from Law and Justice. The conflict between politicians escalated at the very beginning when a PiS MP stated that Prof. Stanisław Waltoś, author of the book entitled “Criminal Trial: An Outline of the System” had no uniform views on clemency.

Sharp exchange of words on TVN24. Olejnik had to intervene

When Krzysztof Śmiszek pointed out to him, Michał Wójcik accused the Left politician of his incompetence in terms of knowledge of the law. “Minister, please read the student textbook. I quoted pages to you!” – said a PiS politician. Later, the host of “Kropka nad i” asked the guests what they thought about the case of Wąsik and Kamiński. Then there was another clash. When Śmiszek tried to interrupt Wójcik’s statement, he heard: “Oh, don’t interrupt!”

Monika Olejnik tried to keep the discussion in check, but the subsequent words of the PiS MP threw her off balance. Wójcik invited TVN24 viewers to the protest, which is to take place on January 11. “I invite you, no matter whether you like PiS/Sovereign Poland or not. You too, because today you are contributing to living in an authoritarian system,” said Michał Wójcik, to which the host immediately reacted: “‘Free media’? Mr. Is he kidding you?!”

A little later, the discussion turned to free media. The PiS MP again interrupted Krzysztof Śmiszek, to which he burst out in anger: “But can you hold on for 4 seconds? I’m not asking for 30 seconds anymore!” The answer was: “No, no, no, because I’m afraid that anarchy is in Poland! I’m a little older than you, do you understand? And I know different times, I remember communist times,” Wójcik commented.
