They were both divorced, but Janda was initially afraid of this feeling, because she had already had a bad experience. Ultimately, however, she decided to do another one. “It was hard not to fall for someone like that,” she admitted. They married in 1981 and were together for 27 years. They had two sons, Adam and Jędrzej. They lived in a pre-war villa in Milanówek, which they bought in ruins. It was there that they found their refuge. Kłosiński supported Janda in her career and when she decided to start her own theater. Together they created the Polonia Theater, and the actress herself repeatedly emphasized that if it were not for her husband, the theater would not exist. For 27 years they were almost inseparable.
Edward Kłosiński died on January 5, 2008 from lung cancer. – Edward once promised me that he would not die before me, because he cannot do that to me – recalled Krystyna Janda. She also added that “this is the only promise he failed to fulfill.” During the mourning period, as she admitted, work was her only salvation. – I had a really hard time with my husband’s passing and the period of mourning, but it didn’t end – she admitted in 2023 in an interview with “Viva”. – I am sure that this relationship will survive even death – Daniel Olbrychski in 2008, after Kłosiński’s death.
