Talent shows are exceptionally popular in our country, attracting millions of viewers. They are often an opportunity for young, talented vocalists who are just starting their adventure with music to become known and develop their careers. In the “Must Be the Music” program, Polsat viewers could admire the fate of Maciej Czaczyk, who turned out to be the winner of the second edition.
“Must Be the Music” won. Maciej Czaczyk has become a favorite of TV viewers and the program’s jurors
Maciej Czaczyk has been associated with music since childhood, when he began learning the piano at the age of six, and then the guitar. Wanting to make his dream come true, as a teenager he signed up for a Polsat talent show. He found support in his family, who encouraged him to participate. In the program he performed the song “I co” from Tadeusz Nalepa. His performance delighted not only the audience, but also Kora, who was a member of the jury.
Shortly after the end of the second edition of the music show “Must Be the Music”, Maciej Czaczyk took advantage of the opportunity given to him by winning the television program and receiving a cash prize of PLN 100,000. Developing a musical career, released an album in cooperation with Varius Manx guitarist Robert Janson, and went on tour and also performed during the New Year’s Eve Power of Hits. He also devoted himself to composing.
After graduating from high school, he decided to become a priest. He decided that he did not fit into the world of show business
Despite many musical successes, Czaczyk disappeared from the world of show business immediately after the end of the tour. After passing his high school final exams, he chose a different career path and fulfilled his childhood dream. Winner of “MBTM” he decided to become a priest, so after finishing high school, he entered the Archbishop’s Major Seminary in Szczecin. In z Plejada he admitted:
What bothered me most about show business was that I didn’t find what I was looking for there. I didn’t see myself in these climates.
Maciej Czaczyk was ordained a priest on June 29, 2019 by Archbishop. Andrzej Dzięga. Then he was nominated as vicar of the parish in Myślibórz. After three years, by decision of the archbishop, he changed his place of service and is currently the vicar of the parish of St. John the Baptist in Szczecin. He spoke about his vocation with Plejada:
The current world is demonic, there is a great chance to lead as many people as possible to heaven. Satan is afraid of priests, not celebrities. I will change the firing range of my guitar, I will give up public life for humility and devotion to God. […] It wasn’t a spur of the moment or some thoughtless move. I’ve had these thoughts since I was little.
However, Czczyk did not give up music completely. He still performs on stage and tries to reach young people by conveying Christian messages. His single “Wielkie Serce”, which was created in cooperation with rapper Tau, was used in the soundtrack of the film “Wyszyński – zemsta czy powiedzenie”.
