A photographic exhibition organized by the San Sebastián Film Festival, Kutxa Fundazioa and the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola Film School (EQZE) runs from this Thursday until February 20 on the fourth floor of the Tabakalera international culture center in the capital of Gipuzkoa some of the transformations that Zinemaldia underwent during the Spanish Transition.
This sample is part of the research project ‘Zinemaldia 70. All possible stories’, of which Pablo la Parra is the main researcher.
The exhibition, titled ‘Festival in transition. The San Sebastián festival in the years of change (1976-1985) ‘, includes 30 photos in black and white of one of the “most vibrant and turbulent periods” in the history of the Festival, marked “by experimentation and democratization, but also by deep instability”.
The hours of the exhibition are from 9:00 to 9:00, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 10:00 on Saturdays, and from 10:00 to 9:00 at night on Sundays.
