Interestingly, a few months ago Maciej Orłości was a guest on his podcast. The gentlemen documented the meeting with a photo posted on Instagram.

Marek Sierocki has been associated with “Teleexpress” since the 1980s. – Editor Sierocki’s potential and vast experience will certainly be used on public television – commenting on these reports in an interview with Wirtualne Media. And he emphasized that “Marek Sierocki was not fired from TVP.”

“Teleexpress” started after the break

“Teleexpress” itself has been broadcast on TVP since June 26, 1986. The first edition was hosted by Wojciech Mazurkiewicz, but from the beginning of the 1990s, for 25 years, the face that was primarily associated with him was the face of Maciej Orłoś. However, in 2016, the presenter decided to quit because he did not want to work in the editorial office when Jacek Kurski was the president of Telewizja Polska. – I didn’t want to be the face of a television that manipulates viewers, breaks the rules of journalistic ethics, and breaks the spines of (some) journalists – he explained five years later in one of the interviews.

On December 20, 2023, for the first time in history, the program was not broadcast. On January 4, 2024, it returned to the air, although not from the Television Information Agency building. There is an ongoing sit-in protest by former television employees who are opposing the changes in public media introduced by Donald Tusk’s government.
