For many of us, the turn of the year is a time to think about the future. Sometimes they concern the fate of the entire community. The prophet Eustachius, among others, shared his predictions about the future of Poland. And even though his visions date back to the mid-15th century, they still arouse emotions today. We may encounter, among other things, the opinion that one of the prophecies about the fate of our country has not yet come true.
Eustachius’s prophecies for Poland
Eustachius was a medieval monk from the Benedictine monastery in Warsaw. His prophecies were published in 1758. It turns out that the nuns predicted the Swedish Deluge and the election of a Pole as pope. – I, Eustachius, […] I predict to you, Poland, that you will experience much misery in the centuries to come. Good Poland! You are noble, great and wonderful, but you despise your wise and wise kings, and because you despise them, you will be ruined. The lion from the north will join the black eagle in the dark valley and strike you hard on the chest until your white feathers turn red with blood – this was one of his prophecies.
Eustachius’s visions. One apparently hasn’t come true yet
We may also come across the opinion that one of the nun’s visions has not yet come true. Apparently it is becoming more and more real. According to Eustachius, Poland is to receive the King Lily, whom “they did not want for a long time, but then they will accept him with joy.” According to interpreters, this prophecy may refer to the contemporary situation in our country.
Visions of prophets and mystics – this is worth remembering
It is no secret that various predictions should be treated with a pinch of salt. Despite this, their message and the authors still arouse considerable curiosity. However, it is worth treating them only as entertainment. As experts often emphasize, we should not make our life plans or decisions dependent on them. – Of course, you can gain a different perspective thanks to predictions, but will a person who has never seen us before have a better overview of the situation than, for example, a friend? – said psychologist and therapist Wiktoria Dróżka in an interview with our website.
