“1670”. Zofia from Adamczycha danced the Wednesday dance
Netflix is famous for non-standard advertisements of its own productions. However, in the case of “1670”, the marketing department outdid itself. A whole series of short recordings referring to various situations important for pop culture were published on social media – Jan Paweł Adamczewski gave an MTV-style tour around his cottage, his son invited him to the barn for a New Year’s Eve potupaya, and father Jakub taught Latin in a somewhat suggestive way. The time has come for Adamczycha’s real star, Zofia, known for her love of lying on the cross and flogging herself, not only for penance purposes.
Katarzyna Herman was faced with a difficult task. As Zofia in the series, she was supposed to prove that there is a bit more life in her than just the desire for eternal life after death. The actress danced like Wednesday and, judging by the viewers’ comments, she did it much (!) better. Take a look for yourself:
I thought that Jakub would come in at the end and check if there were any coins – so that the peasants wouldn’t steal them!
The greatness of this series didn’t end with the episodes themselves. The promotion deserves a separate award!

Katarzyna Herman as Zofia in “1670”
I wouldn’t want to play bad women anymore. I would love to play in “variant B”, i.e. in a comedy way – said Katarzyna Herman a year ago in an interview with TVN.
In “1670” Zofia, Jan’s wife, is definitely not evil. She’s… a bit eccentric and very, very pious. Katarzyna Herman is almost unrecognizable in the role, she transformed into Zofia like a chameleon. As the “serious one”, she had a more difficult task ahead of her – she had to speak with absolute seriousness about self-flagellation and punishment for sins to the sound of “Good Jesus, our Lord” played on the ocarina. Right after his father Jakub and Bogdan – a nobleman (temporarily) without land – he is one of the favorite characters from the series.
