The star of “For better and for worse” disappeared from the screens. Opania found a new path in life

He began his acting career in the 1990s, appearing in the films “The White Marriage” and “1968. Happy New York”. He appeared on the screen before graduating despite his father, who advised him against this career path. He was an actor himself and knew well what burden would rest on his son’s shoulders. However, Bartosz Opania had his way and gained fame in the world of show business. He gained popularity thanks to his role in the comedy “Lovers” and the series “Na dobre i na evil”.

Fighting the disease and a new vocation

Many years later, Opania admitted that the rapid development of his career did not have a positive effect on his well-being. “When I was in my twenties and receiving various awards, the soda went to my head. However, I quickly saw that my career runs like a sine wave. It’s a terrible profession… I keep saying that if I had been born a second time, I would never have become an actor “- he said in an interview for Gazeta.pl.

Over time, Opania noticed further difficulties accompanying the actor’s work. “A young man thinks he’s going to play great things. But then the family shows up and he starts playing the things he has to play with disgust,” he said. In 2019, the actor disappeared from the screen. As it later turned out, he suffered from depression. His wife, Agnieszka, supported him in his fight for health.

Three years later, Opania appeared in , where he talked about working in the Territorial Defense Forces. The actor began his military career after Russia attacked Ukraine in 2022. However, he does not intend to give up his previous profession, although he does not hide that his new vocation has become his priority: “Being an actor and being a soldier are two different, parallel stories of my life. Of course, acting is my profession, a vocation that I take very seriously. But Soldier’s duties are the most important now,” Opania said in “DDTVN”.
