In recent years, Michał Rachoń has been a real star of TVP Info, where he joined Jacek Kurski. He had the opportunity to host a pre-election debate and his own program “Jedziemy!” and conversations with politicians (mainly of the right), in which he uncompromisingly dealt with the opposition. He was the face of the propaganda mouthpiece that Telewizja Polska turned into under Kurski’s rule. The good times ended with the change of authorities at TVP. Michał Rachoń has been a temporary guest on TV Republika for a week, and now he has taken up a new, important function.
Michał Rachoń from TVP Info moved to TV Republika
. He will invent new formats, propose new programs and be responsible for the selection of guests, as Tomasz Sakiewicz, president and editor-in-chief of TV Republika, explained to Wirtualne Media. Although the director’s position will certainly keep the former TVP Info employee busy, it does not mean that he will stop appearing on the air.
So far, Michał Rachoń has transferred his programs from TVP Info directly to TV Republika. You will still be able to see his “Jedziemy” and “Rock Rachon” on this channel.
Apparently he is also planning to expand and modernize the studio in his new station. TV Republika has been breaking popularity records for a week – the television has captured some of the viewers who so far only watched TVP Info. It has already managed to “overtake” Polsat News in terms of reach and this is probably not the last word of its owners. They are associated in the Srebrna Company, which belongs to, among others, to PiS politicians. TV Republika has always brought together journalists and people with a right-wing worldview. So far, the channel has been rather niche, but now, thanks to the influx of viewers orphaned by the shutdown of the old TVP Info, it has a chance to fight for the podium of the most watched news stations (led by TVN24).
“Wiadomości” is dead, long live “19:30”!
Meanwhile, “19:30” is recording popularity records. The program premiered a week ago, and its first results, resulting from political events and turmoil around TVP, could be difficult to repeat. . According to the Wirtualne Media report, “19:30” is watched by over 2.7 million viewers on average. For comparison, “Fakty” ranks lower with an audience of 2.35 million viewers and Polsat’s “Events” – 1.95 million.
