You can also place a paper towel or even bubble wrap at the bottom of such a drawer. Thanks to this, you will cushion its contents a bit and the vegetables will not bump into each other. However, there is one key thing that greatly affects the freshness of vegetables. This is the humidity in the refrigerator. If it is too high, everything will deteriorate faster. So just pour salt or baking soda into a bowl and place it in the fridge. You’ll quickly notice that vegetables stay fresh longer.

How to keep lettuce from wilting and staying fresh for a long time? Take a smart approach

Of all greens, lettuces and herbs wilt and lose their freshness the fastest. However, you can quickly remedy this and organize the space in the refrigerator a bit. In their case, a humid environment is recommended, and you can prepare appropriate conditions for storing lettuces in just a few moments. BYou will need a glass, tightly closed container and a paper towel. Place a few folded sheets of paper towel at the bottom of the vessel, which must first be moistened with water.
