Moczka is a Christmas Eve dish that is extremely popular on… Its base is dried fruit, honey gingerbread, fruit compote and dark beer. Most often, the aim is for the urine to have the consistency of pudding and have a sweet and sour taste with a spicy, gingerbread note. In the past, instead of beer, its base was vegetable or head stock, and every home has a different recipe. Currently, fruit compote and ground beer are mainly used to prepare soak. It is worth preparing it even a few days before the holidays so that the flavors can combine perfectly. The urine can be stored in the refrigerator for about a week.
How to make good soak? One trick will quickly give it the perfect consistency
To prepare soak, you need almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts, as well as dried figs, plums and raisins. The base is fruit compote, dark beer and honey. Boil the compote and then add the almonds. After 15 minutes, add the remaining nuts and dried fruit. In the meantime, combine the crushed gingerbread with the beer and then add it to the pot with the remaining ingredients. Season with lemon juice, salt and sugar. Cook until you get a pudding-like consistency. If the urine comes out too much, it can be easily saved. Just add a bit of potato flour mixed with cold water to the mixture. This procedure will give the dish an appropriate, thick consistency.
