25 years ago, on August 17, 58-year-old Władysław Komar, who was in his prime as an actor, died in a car accident. He played in over 20 films and series, and the most important roles include “Pirates” by Roman Polański, “The Magnate” by Filip Bajon and the unforgettable “Kiler” by Juliusz Machulski. He also appeared in TV series, and the last time we saw him on screen was in one of the episodes of “Ekstradycja” directed by Wojciech Wójcik in 1998.

However, before he decided to pursue acting, he was already a well-known figure to Poles. He is one of the greatest shot putters in the history of this discipline in our country.
